How often will my child need to come?
Weekly intervention sessions of 45 minutes are recommended for best results and sessions are booked in advance following the school term dates. We will re-assess at the end of the term to establish whether weekly sessions will continue into the next term, whether we will reduce to fortnightly, or whether we cease intervention for a term to see how the child manages on their own.

What are the steps involved in getting an appointment?
What are the steps involved in getting an appointment?
I will send you some information about attending intervention, what to expect and a parent questionnaire for you to complete. If you are happy to proceed, an initial assessment appointment will be offered. This appointment is generally 1 hour and will involve the completion of standardised and non-standardised assessments. A report will follow detailing the findings of the assessments and some clear guidance about the next steps to take.

Can I get a rebate from Medicare or Private Health Insurance?
Yes, there is a Chronic Disease Management Plan/Enhanced Primary Care Plan through your GP which can help with up to 5 therapy sessions per calendar year. Please discuss this with your GP to see if you are eligible.
Each private Health Insurance Policy differs. Please check your cover with your provider.
I do not process Medicare or private health claims. I will invoice you and once you have paid the account, you claim the rebate directly from the relevant organisation. All clients are required to pay in full on the day of the session.

How long will my child need therapy for?
How long will my child need therapy for?
The length of intervention will differ for each child and there are many contributing factors. There will be an expectation that you will support your child to complete home practice tasks between therapy sessions. If these tasks are done consistently, it makes therapy sessions much more effective. This in turn can reduce the number of sessions required for your child.
